Article Page

The Article page shows one full blog post with title, image, and body content. Write the article in Shopify admin, then use the theme editor to choose which details—date, author, tags—to show.

How to open this page

Where to find this

Shopify Admin → Online Store → Themes → Customize

Open a blog post from Online Store → Blog posts and click View, or pick an article from the page dropdown in Customize.

Theme editor → Blog post → Template

Article details

Show author

Shows the article author name beside the publish date. Default: On

Usage

Turn on for expert-led editorials or multi-author blogs.
Turn off to show only the publish date below the title.

Featured image

Image ratio

Sets the aspect ratio for the article's featured image. Default: 16:9 – Hero

Usage

Pick Auto to show the full image without cropping.
Fixed ratios crop the image to keep a consistent hero shape.

Image fit

Controls how the image fills its frame. Default: Cover

Usage

Pick Cover to fill the frame—edges may crop.
Pick Contain to show the full image with possible empty space.

Image corner radius

Rounds the corners of the featured image using your theme's border radius presets. Default: Extra large radius

Usage

Match your blog listing card style for a consistent editorial look.

Article content

Show tags

Shows article tags below the post body. Default: On

Usage

Turn on when you tag posts by topic and want customers to see related themes.
Turn off for a cleaner finish on long-form articles.

Section spacing

Adds empty space above and below this section on desktop and mobile.

Usage

Top padding (desktop) — Default: 40 px · 0–100 px
Bottom padding (desktop) — Default: 40 px · 0–100 px
Top padding (mobile) — Default: 40 px · 0–100 px
Bottom padding (mobile) — Default: 40 px · 0–100 px
