Apps block

Apps block is a wrapper section for app extensions from your installed Shopify apps. Add app blocks from the Apps tab in the theme editor, and optionally keep app output within the theme’s page width.

Themes → Customize → Add section → Apps block

Find it under the Advanced group in the section picker. Shopify may also add this section automatically when an app installs a top-level app block on a template.

Adding app blocks

After adding the Apps block section, open the block picker and switch to the Apps tab to choose blocks from apps installed on your store.

Usage

  • Each app block renders the UI or feature provided by that app (reviews widgets, subscriptions, size charts, and similar).
  • Install and configure the app in Shopify Admin before expecting blocks to appear in the picker.
  • Add multiple app blocks to the same section when the app supports it.
  • App styling and settings are controlled inside each app’s own configuration—not in the theme section.
